This is not just a post about “How I made money using Live Chat.” It’s much more than that.
Meet Jill Miller, a complete stranger until about 20 minutes ago when I met her on live chat.
Jill is the “Supreme Bean at Fully Caffeinated Marketing.”
She had just clicked to join the Medical Devices Group and came to visit the companion MedicalDevicesGroup.net site.
Her witty reply to my question got us going.
Long story short, we chatted for 20 minutes. She may come to my conference and bring her friend Jerry Twomey, who she then emailed about the 10x Medical Device Conference.
Jerry phoned me 30 minutes later. He is working on standardizing wireless power for mobile devices, a highly relevant topic for Medical Devices Group readers. And we’re talking about featuring his content in an upcoming group announcement.
Why I wrote this post
Jill and Jerry are just my latest examples of Live Chat For The Win.
I recognize part of my winning formula has to do with me: The playful nature of my chats and my genuine interest in getting to know people – which dovetails completely with Ted Rubin’s “Return on Relationship” philosophy.
For perspective, I must have dozens and dozens of “plain” chats before someone like Jill shows up.
But when “she” shows up, all the time I spend on chats makes it completely worthwhile.
90 Percent of You
Completely unsubstantiated guess, but I’m thinking 90 percent of those reading this post still don’t use live chat on their websites.
Why aren’t you?
