Teleflex produced an entertaining medical device clinical video that demonstrates the efficacy of their Vascular Positioning System. I’ve embedded it below to show a great example how you can educate clinicians and keep them interested at the same time.
I was compelled to share it because talking about how to place a vascular tip could have made your eyes glaze over. Instead, I actively wanted to watch the entire video.
I wish they gave more thought to the opening 10 seconds though. They have words and no sound and – while I don’t know the statistic – many viewers tune out before the 10-second mark if the content is boring.
Even a medical device clinical video can be entertaining.
My invitation: Spend a little extra time and think, “How can we make this more engaging?” before you bring a video crew out to make your next instruction for use or introductory medical device clinical video.
